Have your say on Hayling Park’s new play area
This summer, the play area at Hayling Park is being
refurbished and the council wants your help!
New, fun and exciting equipment will be installed that
could include a climbing net, basket swings and accessible equipment for wheelchair users.
Drop-in consultation events are being held at the Hayling Island Community Centre on Tuesday
1 May and Tuesday 8 May, 5pm-7pm, for residents to see the designs and have
their say on what the play area could look like.
The project, organised and
funded by Havant Borough Council and Play Parks for Hayling, aims to offer
a unique play space for children of all ages and abilities for years to come.
Feedback gathered from the consultation will influence the
final design of the play area before works begin in June.
Secretary for Play Parks for Hayling, Leah Turner said “We are delighted
that in partnership with Havant Borough Council, the refurbishment of the Play
Park in Hayling Park can begin. Residents can comment on the plans at the
consultation evenings.
