The Council has demanded answers from the Government over the potential use of Gosport locations for migrant arrivals and urged proper engagement with local authorities.
Council Leader Cllr Zoe Huggins has again written to the Home Secretary following events on 22 September, when significant local resources were deployed in anticipation of an arrival operation in Gosport, before a boat was eventually escorted to Dover.
Cllr Huggins said: "We are demanding to know why this decision was taken and why the concerns we raised beforehand were ignored. The events on Tuesday showed that Gosport is simply not the right destination, even without a boat arriving here."

We're making improvements to Gosport's parks and play areas.
Upgrades were recently completed at Bridgemary and Leesland skateparks to improve and repair the surfaces at both facilities, ensuring they remain safe and enjoyable for users.
The work was part of Gosport Borough Council's £236,000 Playground Safety Programme, which is delivering improvements across the borough's playgrounds and recreational spaces. Projects have been prioritised following inspections and assessments.
The Council pays tribute to Dennis Wright, an Honorary Freeman, former councillor and mayor who sadly died recently.
Dennis Wright served as a Gosport Borough Councillor with distinction for 33 years, he was also a Hampshire County Councillor, and Mayor of the Borough with his late wife Jill as Mayoress, herself a councillor for 17 years.
In 2018 Dennis was appointed an Honorary Freeman of the Borough, the highest honour the Council can bestow.
Council Leader Cllr Zoe Huggins said: "Dennis devoted his whole life to serving Gosport and its people with distinction, as a Councillor, in his profession and also in his extensive volunteering work helping others.
"On behalf Gosport Borough Council, I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends. His legacy of service to our Borough will never be forgotten."
