Rum store redevelopment reaches significant milestone

Enabling works have now been completed, meaning the more visible transformation of the former Royal Navy Rum Store can progress.

The regeneration of the historic building will create 7,000sqm of new mixed-use employment space and support hundreds of jobs, including those in the marine sector.

Free 1-2-1 support for pre-start, start-up and small businesses

The council-commissioned programme has already supported over 60 Gosport-based businesses, including ten new start-ups.

In addition to 1-2-1 mentoring, the support also includes online and in-person workshops.

Up to £20,000 grants and advice available for manufacturing SMEs

Made Smarter is a Government-funded programme to boost manufacturing SMEs through the adoption of new industrial technologies.

Reduced VAT rate for businesses supplying children's meals

The Government has introduced the temporary reduced rate of 5% for supplies of children's meals and tickets to certain attractions during the summer holiday period.

Free impartial ACAS advice on workplace rights and rules

ACAS provides advice, letter/forms/policy document templates, dispute resolution services and training for businesses.
