New high quality nets are now available for cricketers of all ages to train on.
We've completely refurbished the previously tired facility at Privett Park, adding new netting throughout and a professional grade, artificial surface.
Gosport Borough Cricket Club, whose men's, women's and youth teams all use the nets, have said they're delighted.
Gosport residents can have their say on the Government's plan to reorganise councils across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and we're calling on people to back decision-making staying local.
Plans for Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) would mean all local councils in the region, including Gosport Borough Council, are replaced by newly formed, much larger regional councils by 2028. These new councils would have responsibility for delivering all council services to populations of around 500,000.
Gosport Borough Council is opposed to LGR, and believes decision making for Gosport is best made at a local level in Gosport, not by people living outside of the Borough.

Our free summer events and activities scheme is back for its 18th year.
Gosport Summer Passport offers secondary school-aged young people fun-filled activities including sailing, paddleboarding, martial arts, arts and crafts and more.
Activities take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 29 July to 21 August 2025, and registration is now open for are interested.
We are big supporters of the incredible events and festivals that take place across Gosport - and many have benefited from our most recent grant awards.
We've awarded £10,000 to both Gosport Sunset Festival and Sunrise Party in the Park to help these events run this summer. Grants were also given to Gosport Waterfront Festival CIC (£7,500), ParkFest25 (£2,500), Summer in Lee (£2,000), Victory Parade (£4,000), Gosport Heritage Open Days (£1,500) and Gosport Rotary Club's Vehicle Rally and Michaelmas Fayre (£4,000).
In total our Grants Subs Board awarded over £55,000 as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local groups, charities and events.

Gosport Borough Football Club is creating a new artificial pitch at their Privett Park home.
The club will play their home matches on the new surface and it will be available for community use.
The council is supporting the project and the club is working to have the new pitch ready in time for the new football season. Watch out for more updates!
