Would you like to supply your goods or services to the council and others in the south east?
The council is keen to see more local businesses registered on the South East Business Portal (SEBP), where the council and the other 73 local authorities in the region promote their contract opportunities.
By registering (free of charge) on the portal, you’ll get personalised notices of new opportunities, as and when they arise, and be able to review existing local authority contracts.
As part of your company profile on the portal, you can stipulate your preferred category areas and geographical locations. Your preferences will then be matched against the latest opportunities when they are published.
If you experience any problems registering, use the help centre website or email for support: support@proactisservicedesk.kayako.com
Building on the legacy of the successful Local Enterprise Partnerships, Hampshire County Council (HCC) is working in partnership with businesses, local authorities and the education and skills community to drive economic growth.
As a result HCC is seeking highly successful members of the business community to be part of its new Hampshire Prosperity Partnership board. The board will focus on investment and initiatives across the county, in partnership with local government and the education sector.
The new partnership of business, place and skills being established will benefit residents, businesses, institutions, and the environment right across Hampshire.
This business-focused board will provide strategic leadership and insights. It will forge a close partnership with its stakeholders while supporting HCC directly in pursuit of its Hampshire 2050 Vision.
Applications to join the board will be accepted up to Friday 22 March.
The University of Portsmouth will soon begin delivering its 'Help to Grow: Management Course' to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Gosport for the first time.
The fully-funded course is aimed at senior leaders and covers strategies for growth and innovation, how to lead high-performing teams, digital adoption, financial management and responsible business practices.
The 12-week 'Help to Grow: Management Course' is 90% government funded and currently Portsmouth Business School is funding the remaining 10%, making it fully-funded for local SMEs.
Beginning this September, the programme is delivered by entrepreneurs and industry experts and accredited by the Small Business Charter. It will be delivered from the Imagination Refinery in the town centre and includes online and face-to-face sessions, 1-to-1 mentoring and peer networking, and is designed to fit around existing work and commitments.
