Merry Christmas!

Thank you for helping us strive

for improvements in 2023

Christmas is nearly here and we are quickly approaching the end of 2023 – a perfect time to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone involved in the successful work of the Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire Strategic Clinical Networks.

Despite the challenges facing everyone who works in the health and social care sector, our clinicians have continued to spearhead changes designed to improve the services people in the city region receive.

We believe the work we do remains so important because it is the experts at the centre of delivering the care or treatment who identify where changes need to be made and are then involved in the creation of the initiative, our brilliant support team working hard to bring the work to life.

The result is that thousands of people each year receive better care and, in some cases, the pressure on health and care services is eased as patients get faster access to diagnosis and treatment, lowering the impact and financial burden on primary and acute services, for example.

We have seen this ripple effect from many of our Networks’ programmes this year - many of which we celebrated at our recent 10 year anniversary - all of which are supporting our clinical improvement journey for the health and care of our population across Greater Manchester.

We would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year. We look forward to striving for more clinically-led improvements again in 2024!

Best wishes

Julie Cheetham and Dr Peter Elton
