Every year we clear more than 130,000 drains across the county. But sometimes, during very heavy rain, even a completely clear drain can be overwhelmed. Find out how we keep your roads safe during wet weather:
Water can also cause damage to the surface of our roads. Following one of the wettest winters for 130 years, we are carrying out inspections and fixing the most unsafe hazards first. You can help by reporting issues online.
When a drain is blocked with leaves, (as long as it is safe to do so), you can remove the leaves and add them to your brown garden waste bin or a compost heap. Otherwise, please report blocked drains online.Β

Work to install 1,000 electric vehicle charging points in Gloucestershire over the next three years is progressing well. By the end of March, nearly 130 chargepoints will have been installed across the county. The programme has been given a further boost with the announcement that the Department for Transport has awarded Β£3.629m to Gloucestershire from its Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Capital Fund. This will be used to step up the rollout so more chargepoints can be installed. Find out more.
