Night-time road closures while B4063 work continues
As work continues on the B4063 walking and cycling route, there will be some night-time road closures over the next 13 days.
Contractors Montel are building the section of the route from the M5 overbridge to Brickhampton Golf Course.
As part of this work, night-time closures are needed at the Bamfurlong Lane/Old Gloucester Road junction in both directions from 8pm to 6am.
These closures start tonight, Monday 9 January, and finish on Saturday 21 January. There will be four-way temporary traffic lights during the daytime.
Once this phase is complete a temporary double roundabout will be in place at this junction to control the flow of traffic up until mid-April 2023, when new traffic lights will be in place.
The double roundabout will remove the need for temporary traffic lights and improve the flow of traffic in the area while works on the B4063 cycleway to link Gloucester and Cheltenham continue.
