Seasonal eating
As the season’s change around the world, so does the type of produce that grows locally.
When food has to travel a long way to get to the U.K, it often comes with a massive carbon footprint. When you buy seasonal food, you’re helping to reduce the demand for out-of-season produce. This also helps to reduce the energy and greenhouse gases released through refrigeration, transportation and much more.
Ensuring you use up all of the food you buy and let none of it go to waste is a key way to reduce your carbon footprint and help tackle climate change.
