Race Equality Week marks the launch of the #MyNameIs campaign to raise the importance of getting someone’s name right. Mispronunciation of a name usually starts for children at school and continues through to the workplace. The Virtual school is now able to provide a new service, offering support, guidance, advice and signposting to assist all children and young people with a social worker on a Child in Need or Child Protection plan. The aim of these free online one-hour briefings are to share the latest developments in school governance. The briefings will include legislation updates and best practice advice on a wide range of topics. It will also include information on clerking responsibilities and professional development.
