Bill to make mental health first-aid part of regular first-aid training requirements tabled
Tabled on Tuesday 23rd March entitled ‘First Aid (Mental Health) Bill’ by Dean Russell MP, the Bill aims to make mental health first aid or psychological first aid training part of physical first aid training in workplaces across the country. There is already guidance around workplace first aid regarding mental health from the Health and Safety Executive, but there is not a requirement by law to put physical and mental health on parity regarding first aid. Suicide Bereaved Community news
The inaugural SBC event, a barbeque with tree planting, has been arranged. The event will take place on Saturday 26th June at the Butterfly Garden. Places will need to be booked in advance.
