GCC and the local Headteacher Associations recommend that schools do not hold open days or evenings as such gatherings compromise the safe systems of infection control that schools have put in place to protect children and staff.
GCC is hosting a series of live webinars, led by Professor Barry Carpenter (Professor of Mental Health in Education, Oxford Brookes University), to support schools through the process of long term recovery. All Schools
In October GCC will pilot a virtual multi-agency forum accessible to all schools to seek support for children and young people whose needs are not being met and may be at risk of exclusion. This has been put in place to support schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, but also aligns with the JAN and High Needs strategies, which are focused on ensuring the right support is available at the right time.
