Think digitally about mental health
You are invited to think digitally about mental health at the Innovation Lab at Coleford Library 12pm – 4.30pm on Thursday 10th October.
Digital technology can often be daunting, particularly for those who lack confidence, or who are living with anxiety or other mental health issues. The Innovation Lab is passionate about helping to break down these barriers and empower individuals. As well as being fun and creative, technology can also be used for relaxation and therapy.
Come along to ‘colour yourself calm’, experience the tranquillity of a virtual world, or listen to a soothing audio book. You can also help to create a weighted patchwork quilt on our digital sewing machine, take part in a shared reading group (between 2 and 3pm), or relax into the freedom and creativity of Lego (Kids session 3.30 – 4.30pm).

All our libraries are UK Online Centres and we have Computer Buddies and sessions to give you computer confidence. Check out our free digital courses here. The Glass Woman - Caroline Lea
Strange things are happening in 17th Century Iceland. The brutal, lava-scarred landscape can swallow a man without so much as a volcanic gasp. Jón Eiríksson has just married his second wife in a year. But Rósa's new home in the windswept village of Stykkishólmur is terrifyingly isolated - the villagers are suspicious of strangers and fearful of something which they will not name.
