Bartlow Road roundabout finish

Bartlow Road roundabout is finished!

After 10 months of work we are pleased to confirm the new roundabout at Bartlow Road is now open in all directions after work was completed ahead of schedule.

The roundabout was constructed in four phases to minimise disruption and, along with junction improvements at Dean Crossroads, to enhance road safety and improve bus, walking and cycling links between Cambridge and Haverhill.

We have also introduced new crossing facilities at both the roundabout and Dean Crossroads to make crossing the A1307 safer for pedestrians and cyclists

This new infrastructure allows for safer and smoother journeys for all users, with improvements targeting known accident cluster sites along the A1307.

How do I keep up to date with the project?

There is still work to be done to complete the Cambridge South East Transport scheme (phase 1), including;

  • Finishing the Linton Greenway connections around the Abingtons and Linton Village College
  • Improving junction safety at Haverhill Road and Wandlebury
  • Upgrading the footbridge links over the A11
