Update on the progress on the Chisholm Trail

Jetty path linking Stourbridge Common with Ditton Meadows

We are pleased to announce that work on the jetty path (NCN 51) linking Stourbridge Common with Ditton Meadows is now complete and open for public use as of today (30/04/2021).

We’d like to thank you for your patience while work has continued on the jetty and apologise for any inconvenience the closure has caused.

Work on the jetty has been part of phase one of the Chisholm Trail, which will link Cambridge North Railway Station with Coldhams Lane. Phase one will open later this year.

In other developments along the trail, we recently closed Newmarket Road for one week to install a new underpass.

The Chisholm Trail is a joint project between the Greater Cambridge Partnership and Cambridgeshire County Council.

Once complete the trail will make it easier for students cycling to Cambridge Regional College, for commuters arriving at Cambridge North Station and for workers to travel between the Science Park, Business Park, Addenbrooke’s and the Biomedical Campus as well as offering an off road cycle route for leisure cyclist and walkers.

For all updates on the progress of the trail please subscribe to the project page on the Greater Cambridge Partnership's website.
