Cambridge South East Transport - Bus lane and Cycleway works
Works on the A1307 at Linton will commence on 16 September 2019.
Works to construct an eastbound bus lane on the A1307 at Linton between Dalehead Foods and Linton Village College will commence on 16 September 2019 and will continue until early December. The work involves converting Lane 1 to a bus lane, constructing a build out at Dalehead Foods, surfacing in parts of the central reserve to improve visibility at gaps, improving the cycleway, extending the 40mph limit, and extending the 50 mph speed limit at Hildersham.
While the works take place, Lane 1 eastbound will be closed and a 40mph temporary speed limit will be in place. The work will be carried out by Cambridgeshire Highways.
Further phases of work in early 2020 will include improvements to the Hildersham High Street junction, signalising the Linton High Street, and completing the improved cycleway between Pampisford Road and Linton Village College. Works planned for 2020/21 include a new roundabout and local travel hub at Bartlow Road, Linton, safety improvements at the Dean Road crossroads, and a westbound bus lane at Linton.
