Flintshire County Council would like to remind residents to renew their subscriptions for the Council’s garden waste collection service, which starts again from 1 March 2022 and runs until 10 December 2022.
Residents can sign up to the scheme at any time during the year, but we are encouraging people to subscribe early to ensure that they benefit from the full collection service for the season, as well as the preferential subscription rate available before 28 February 2022. Subscriptions before this date, or online throughout the season, are £32 per bin. After 1 March 2022, the standard rate will be £35 if not paying online.

Following the introduction of further restrictions from 26 December 2021 to help to control the spread of coronavirus, Flintshire County Council is continuing to work in partnership with Welsh Government to support local businesses who have been impacted by these changes.
The latest round of grants is designed to provide additional support to businesses operating in the hospitality, tourism, leisure and retail sectors, who receive a business rates bill for a premises they occupy with a rateable value of up to £500,000.

Children and young women attending Flintshire schools will be able to receive free sustainable period products delivered directly to their doorsteps from January 2022 thanks to a new partnership between Flintshire County Council and Hey Girls, an award-winning UK-based period product company. The programme has been developed with Welsh Government funding to promote period dignity across Wales.
As part of support package of over £50m to address immediate pressures on living costs, Welsh Government has made available over £38 million through a Winter Fuel Support Scheme.
Eligible households can claim a one-off £100 payment from Flintshire County Council to provide support towards paying their winter fuel bills.

COVID-19 vaccination drop in clinics
There will be a COVID-19 drop-in session - Monday 17 January 2022
St Peter’s Church, Rosehill, Holywell, CH8 7TL - 10am to 6pm
This clinic is for those aged 12 years and above to receive their first, second dose and 18+ to receive their first, second and booster doses.
