The Q2 2025 Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) is now live – and your response matters.
With recent changes such as National Insurance Contribution increases and new global tariffs, the trading environment is shifting for many businesses. The QES is a vital tool that helps ensure those challenges – and opportunities – are understood by policymakers.
Run by the British Chambers of Commerce, the QES is one of the UK’s most respected business surveys. The results are closely watched by the UK Government, the Bank of England, and the media – helping to influence key decisions affecting your business.
It only takes a few minutes to complete, and it’s your chance to help shape the national conversation around the economy. Make your voice count – take the survey now.
Businesses across East Sussex are being invited to take part in the Keep Britain Working survey – an opportunity to influence future Government policy on how employers support people with health conditions and disabilities in the workplace.
Led by Sir Charlie Mayfield, this independent review is exploring how employers can:
- Prevent health issues from developing or worsening at work
- Retain staff with long-term health conditions and disabilities
- Support employees returning to work after sickness absence
Early findings have been published and the next step is gathering evidence from those with direct experience – especially employers. This survey will be the primary source of evidence used in the final report, expected in Autumn 2025.
Whether you're a sole trader, a growing SME or a larger employer, your views can make a real difference. By sharing the interventions that work well in your business – or highlighting the barriers you face – you can help shape recommendations that are practical, effective, and tailored to the realities of running a business.
The survey is open until midnight on Friday 30 May 2025.
The East Sussex Growth Hub had a fantastic time exhibiting at the Sussex Chamber Business Expo on 25 April at the South of England Event Centre.
Our team spent the day connecting with local businesses, sharing information about the free support, funding advice, and growth opportunities available through the Growth Hub. From start-ups to established firms, it was great to see so many businesses taking steps to grow and thrive.
We had some brilliant conversations, explored a wide range of local products and services, and enjoyed the buzz of over 100 exhibitors and expert-led sessions.
If you missed us on the day, it’s not too late to find out what support is available for your business. Visit our website or follow us on LinkedIn, X and Facebook to stay up to date with new programmes, events, and resources.
