Keeping people safe from harmful online material

Following recent legislative changes, there has been extensive media discussion about the availability of harmful content online. You can contribute to a safer internet by anonymously reporting any illegal or harmful information, images, or videos you come across using the online tool below. If you are concerned that someone may be viewing extreme content, you can find further guidance from Preventing Violent Extremism | Safe in East Sussex.

Domestic Abuse Act funding

We are pleased to confirm that as a result of the ring-fenced Domestic Abuse Act funding provided by Central Government, that the first round of East Sussex Domestic Abuse Small Grants Fund projects went live in January 2025. We have awarded funds to 6 projects in East Sussex, these projects are outlined below.

New Drug and Alcohol Treatment Contract

The new adult drug and alcohol treatment contract is set to begin in April 2026. To prepare, we are launching a process to appoint a specialist provider to deliver this service. The Safer in East Sussex Team has engaged with various stakeholders, analysed multiple data sources, and reviewed past successes. Using these insights, we have developed a service specification for the new program, which will soon be shared with stakeholders for feedback.
