The Newhaven Business Grants Programme is back for a second phase, launching on 25 November 2024. This initiative continues to provide financial support to SME businesses in the Newhaven Town Deal area.
Eligible businesses can apply for grants of up to £15,000 to cover 50% of project costs. In the previous round, the programme helped fund specialist equipment, commercial vehicles, premises improvements, and more—contributing to business growth and job creation in Newhaven.
The project is funded by UK Government with the grant funding secured by Lewes District Council and will be delivered by East Sussex County Council.
Looking to develop your business skills and grow with confidence? The fully funded Big Ambitions Essentials programme is here to help! Offering expert-led 1:1 support and group training, this initiative is designed to empower 45 local business owners to achieve their goals.
Participants will benefit from an initial assessment with a business advisor, tailored training sessions on topics like finance and marketing, and up to six hours of individual guidance from subject matter experts. Big Ambitions Essentials offers weekly online networking sessions and access to tools like Growth Mapper and Digital Boost. The programme also includes optional CPR training and five in-person workshops, running between November 2024 and February 2025.
