To celebrate Storytelling Week this February we are hosting Gulwali Passarlay at the Grove Theatre Eastbourne.
Gulwali Passarlay fled Afghanistan and endured a terrifying journey in the hands of people smugglers aged just 13 years old.
He is now intent on changing the world. His story is a deeply harrowing and incredibly inspiring tale of our times.
Do you need help boosting your skills for a new job?
Studying with Learning Services may be the answer.
Learning Services offers a supportive, flexible way of learning which leads to nationally recognised qualifications in IT, Maths and English.
During office hours you will be fully supported by a dedicated tutor.
East Sussex Libraries have Reminiscence Resources to loan, and we have partnered with Strike a Light – Arts & Heritage to deliver training on how to use them.
Typically, a person with dementia is more able to recall things from many years ago than recent memories, so reminiscence materials can help. Join a relaxed, friendly, group to learn how Reminiscence can give people with dementia a sense of confidence through using a skill they still have.
Do you enjoy knitting and crochet. Why not come to our sociable knitting group at Crowborough Library. Meet new friends and enjoy a chat. Everybody is welcome, beginners and experienced.
