Guest arrivals by borough and district in East Sussex
Latest figures show that at least 905 guests have arrived in East Sussex under the Homes for Ukraine scheme. Our thanks to every host and every community making our guests welcome.聽
The guests are at 374 different properties across the county. More than 280 school places have been allocated to Ukrainian children.聽
The figures suggest we can expect more than 1,460 Ukrainians to come to East Sussex in total, meaning the county has received a little over 60% of our number of anticipated arrivals.

If hosts choose to claim 拢350 monthly payments while they're putting up guests, borough and district councils are now starting to make these payments and will be prioritising those who have been hosting the longest.
Whilst this has taken longer than we expected, invitations to apply are now on their way. We apologise sincerely for the delays and any issues they may have caused - we are working hard to get these to hosts as soon as possible. Payments will be backdated to the date guests arrived.
We'd ask people not to contact local councils to ask about host payments - they will be contacted directly as soon as possible to let them know how to apply.
We thank everyone for their patience.聽
Please note that local voluntary action groups are no longer distributing 拢200 welcome payments to newly-arrived refugees.
If guests are awaiting their 拢200 welcome payment, they will be sent a code to their mobile phone which can be taken to any branch of the Post Office to collect the payment.
Guests or hosts may be contacted directly by their borough or district council to confirm details for payment.聽聽
