The Wild World Heroes are coming to a library near you this summer!

Our Wild World Heroes live in Wilderville, a pretty cool place, but there are lots of things that the Wild World Heroes can do to make their town even better for the people and animals that live there.

Primary school children are being asked to read six books to help the Wilderville children make a difference to the environment. As they read library books, they collect stickers and prizes. After reading six books they earn their certificate and medal.

Children can read any library book they want, this includes: eBooks; audiobooks; comic books and even eMagazines. A shared story with a friend or family member also counts towards the challenge. The challenge starts on the 10 July, our website has more information – including joining the challenge, book suggestions and forthcoming summer events.

The Summer Reading Challenge is open to all children, free of charge.

Summer's here and as you look for your sandals (or umbrella!) you might find some library books. We need to get our books back so that we can offer lots of choice to everybody that need and enjoy the library service. Just bring them back to us and we won’t charge you overdue fees.

We’re thrilled to be back to our normal opening hours so come back and visit us again soon. There are lots of reasons to come in to the library:

• Browse the shelves and choose your own books 
• Bring children in to the library to choose new books 
• Return items borrowed from any of our libraries
• Use a library computer and print/scan/copy (it is still advisable to book in advance due to limited computer numbers and time will be limited to allow for cleaning)
• Order your books with the Select and Collect service from all libraries and place reservations on the online library catalogue
