More than 880,000 vaccinations have now been given in Sussex.
However, there are still people in the priority groups who are yet to receive their vital protection.
Anyone aged 50 and over, clinically extremely vulnerable, has an underlying health condition, or is an unpaid carer, is being encouraged to book their vaccination as soon as possible.
Visit the national booking service or by calling 119. Find out more about where you can get your vaccination. Appointments are available at vaccination centres, pharmacy led services and local vaccination services.

If the Government is sure that its four tests are being met and that the vaccination programme is continuing effectively and successfully, the next stage of the roadmap out of lockdown is due to happen on Monday (29 March). This will mean:
Travel
The ‘stay at home’ rule will end but many restrictions will remain in place and the public will still be urged to stay local. People should continue to work from home where they can and minimise the number of journeys they make where possible, avoiding travel at the busiest times and routes. Travel abroad will continue to be prohibited, other than for a small number of permitted reasons. Holidays abroad will not be allowed.
Social contact
Outdoor gatherings (including in private gardens) of either 6 people (the Rule of 6) or 2 households will also be allowed.
Business and activities
Outdoor sports facilities such as tennis and basketball courts, and open-air swimming pools, will also be allowed to reopen, and people will be able to take part in formally organised outdoor sports.

The number of new cases in East Sussex, despite small fluctuations up and down, continues to be low and less than half the national figure.
The latest stats show an infection rate of 21 new cases per 100,000 population in East Sussex while the rate for England is 55.
The figures reported below show the number of new cases for the latest 7-day period available. For comparison, the figure in brackets is the number of new cases in the seven day period covered by the previous update. Source: https://coronavirus-staging.data.gov.uk/details/cases 25 March, 2021
