eAudio with RBdigital

RBdigital

When was the last time somebody read you a story? Most of us stop being read to when we get to junior school, but it’s the perfect way to relax and stimulate the brain.  A good narrator can enhance a story, adding nuance and flair.

We've got loads of downloadable audiobooks on our RBdigital eAudio platform. Free to download onto your mobile device, PC or laptop.

Many people still think of audiobooks as cheating, but a recent study showed no significant differences in comprehension between reading, listening, or reading and listening simultaneously.

Another rarely mentioned benefit of audiobooks is that so-called ‘difficult’ authors like James Joyce, Cormac McCarthy, Ali Smith and Anna Burns; authors who dispense with punctuation and syntax are much more straightforward and readable when they are narrated!
