Library news

 March 2020

We'd like to let you know what we're doing to help you while our libraries are closed and how you can keep up-to-date with what's on offer in our eLibrary

All of our libraries are now closed, in line with Government requirements.  We want to help East Sussex residents as much as we can over this difficult time.

  • We’ve extended all current and new library loans until at least 30 June so you don’t have to worry about overdue library books or other items such as DVDs.
  • Until further notice we’re scrapping fines for any items that were due to be returned after 9 March 2020.
  • We’re buying even more eContent. Our online offer is amazing and we provide a great range of eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines, it’s all available in our eLibrary.
  • We have an Online Reference library with access to information websites and family history resources - including Britannica Library, Oxford Reference Online and Who`s Who and Who Was Who.
  • If you need any help accessing our online resources, just give us a call on 0345 608 0196  - Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm.
