BBC Children in Need distributes grants to organisations that work with disadvantaged children and young people under the age of 18. The Small Grants Programme offers grants of up to £10,000 per year, for up to three years, for projects working with children and young people experiencing disadvantage.

- National Lottery Funding offers funding to support what matters to people and communities and recently made grants to East Sussex groups
- Four railway stations in East Sussex have been awarded funding through the Cycle Rail Programme for schemes to help encourage rail commuters to cycle
