World Autism Awareness Week (WAAW) takes place between 26 March and 2 April and we encourage everyone to take part!
Whether it's raising funds or awareness, you can get involved in lots of different ways. The National Autistic Society offer some great resources and tips for schools, workplaces and individuals. You could have a go at their 7K run, cycle or sprint, hold a bake off or print and put up a free poster (pictured) made by NAS ambassador Chris Packham!
If you're holding a fundraising or awareness event, get in touch with us. We'd love to help you promote it.

The Amaze advice line is open five days a week to answer parent’s questions about anything
related to SEN and disability, but the team are also starting to produce some helpful fact sheets for East Sussex families. All the Amaze fact sheets are on their website, including ones specific to Brighton families, so make sure you choose those which say 'East Sussex' - topics currently covered for East Sussex are DLA and SEN Support in School.
Amaze now want to find out which other fact sheet topics East Sussex parents want most. They want to hear from you - what's missing from their list? What subject would you like more information on?
Please email charlotte@amazesussex.org.uk or leave a message on the advice line
(01273 772289) with your ideas.

In November 2017, young people from the East Sussex Youth Cabinet, the Children in Care Council, disabled young people’s participation groups, local youth forums and school councils came together for Takeover Day to discuss community resilience. The key discussion point throughout the day was what makes a community strong, happy and healthy.
The Youth Cabinet helped to produce a fantastic video of the day, which really demonstrates the passion and commitment shown by young people across the county to improve and maintain their local communities. Find out more about Takeover Day 2017 on the East Sussex Better Together website.
