New opening times for East
Sussex libraries come into effect from Monday 28th November.
The opening hours for
Peacehaven library are:
Monday Closed
Tuesday 10am – 5pm
Wednesday Closed
Thursday 10am – 6pm
Friday 10am – 5pm
Saturday
10am – 4pm
There may also be other
libraries open at times convenient for you, near where you live or work.
The opening times of all libraries in East Sussex are available on our library webpages.
Don’t forget that even if
the library is closed you can use our website
24/7 to renew and reserve books, update your details, search our catalogue, and
access our e-books and e-audiobooks.
You can also renew your
books 24 hours a day through our automated renewals line by calling 0345
6080195.
Using our e-library you
can find over 3,800 books, 1,900 audio books and a great selection of magazines
which you can borrow any time of the day or night without ever needing to visit
a library. The e-library
is our free online library, accessible through your computer, tablet or phone.
Just download the app and
create an account using your library membership details. Once you
have downloaded the book you want you’ll have up to 3 weeks to read or
listen to it before it automatically disappears from your device ready for someone
else to enjoy (if you haven’t quite finished with the book you can always renew
it).
If you see a book you’d
like to borrow and someone is already using it, you can put a hold on the item
and when it becomes available you’ll be able to download it.
If you can’t get to the
library due to ill-health, disability or caring responsibilities the library
can come to you with the help of our team of dedicated home library service
volunteers.
We will match you with one
of our volunteers who will become your link to the library. Just tell them what
you like to read and we can arrange for you to have your library books
delivered to your home on a regular basis, at a time convenient for you. We
offer books in standard and large print and also have a wide range of audio
books on CD.
After you have completed
the enquiry form
we will contact you by phone or email to assess your eligibility.
