Overview of the conference:
Join us for a hands-on, workshop-led conference designed to support you in delivering the Best Start in Life for every child. This is not a sit-and-listen event — it’s a practical, engaging, and collaborative experience grounded in current research and real-world practice. Learning will be framed within the context of national and local strategic priorities for The Best Start in Life - helping all of our East Riding children build the strong foundations they need for future learning, with local authority and national updates, an engaging and interactive music session, focusing on enhancing communication, interactions and wellbeing, alongside four workshops which build upon current research and effective practice.
The four workshops over the day are:
Interactive Storytelling with Puppets (Carol Burton @ Puppets, Plays and Story Days)
Lau Lau Songdrawing Method (Stephanie Warrender @ Lau Lau Learning
Rhythm, Regulation and Responsive Practice (Maintained Nursery School Team)
Purposeful Provision (James Tunnell @ Nursery Nook)
