Spring and summer buses return
 The Wolds Explorer and the Spurn Explorer are returning for a third year thanks to popular demand. The services travel into the heart of the Wolds countryside and to the wildlife haven of Spurn Point Nature Reserve on the Holderness coast. The buses are now running on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, operated by East Yorkshire Buses and cost £3 for a single fare.
Carers Week 2026
 Carers Week 2026 takes place Monday, 8 to Sunday, 14 June and focuses on the theme ‘building carer friendly communities’ highlighting the importance of recognising carers and ensuring they are supported and valued in their local areas.
There will be events taking place in Beverley, Bridlington, Driffield, Goole, Haltemprice, Hornsea, Pocklington, Market Weighton, Withernsea, Stamford Bridge, South Cave, South Holderness, Ryehill, Welwick and Bubwith. Major progress made on East Riding Leisure Goole redevelopment
 The redevelopment at East Riding Leisure Goole is now just a few months away from being handed over from the developer, Willmott Dixon, to the council. The team on site have made significant progress over recent weeks and the building is starting to take shape both inside and outside.
