Help shape the future of adult social care at an in-person consultation event

Over the past few months, the council has been gathering feedback on adult social care services through a ‘Have Your Say’ survey which gave you the chance to share your opinions and influence how services are designed and delivered.
In order to strengthen the response there will be a series of in-person consultation events. The events will take place between Monday, 23 and Friday 27 March in Beverley, Goole, Hornsea, Driffield, Withernsea, Haltemprice and Bridlington.
Proposed Yorkshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)
Natural England has published its consultation response analysis report relating to the proposal to designate a new Yorkshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Natural England has also given notice of its statutory notice period enabling anyone to view the proposals and make representations, if they wish, in relation to that proposal. Representations can be submitted via email to YorksWoldsDesignationProject@naturalengland.org.uk, or via letter to Yorkshire Wolds AONB, PO Box 351, Holmfirth, HD9 9A, and the notice period will close at midnight on Friday, 6 March 2026.

Call for artists as Open Art Exhibition returns to Goole Museum this March
Goole Museum is currently looking for artists and creative people living in and around Goole to submit their artwork for the exhibition. As 2026 is Goole's bicentenary year, marking 200 years since the town's construction as a purpose-built port town, entries that are inspired by Goole's rich heritage are particularly welcome.
