Estimates are open for submission
26/27 Annual Budget Summaries
In accordance with the Early Years National Funding Formula (EYNFF) the local authority is required to give those settings delivering funding to 9 month+, 2, 3 and 4 year olds a budget at the start of the financial year. To do so we ask that childcare providers offering funding enter their estimate submissions for Summer 2026, Autumn 2026 and Spring 2027 via the Ehub.
Please remember that the 3 terms bridge 2 academic years therefore open both 2025-26 academic year along with 2026-27 academic year and all 3 terms will show a green arrow meaning they require information.

|
|
If you don’t want to submit estimates for all 3 terms the minimum we require for your next monthly payments is estimates for the Summer term that falls under 2025-26 academic year.
Please note that Autumn and Spring will be open later in the year for submissions and/or amendments to data submitted now.
Deadline date for submissions is 6th February 2026

Public Health updates:
Changes to Routine Vaccinations
Chickenpox (varicella) has now been added to the routine childhood vaccination schedule through a combined MMRV vaccine, which also protects against measles, mumps and rubella.
Chickenpox is usually mild, though it may cause discomfort or, in rare cases, complications. The MMRV vaccine will replace the current MMR vaccine, with two doses offered at 12 and 18 months. Using a combination vaccine reduces the number of injections required. Parents may choose between two equally effective versions of the vaccine—one containing gelatine and one without.
The MMRV vaccine has been used safely and effectively for decades in countries such as the United States, Canada and Australia.
For further information, please refer to: A guide to the MMRV vaccination
Nestlé Infant Formula Recall
Nestlé has expanded a precautionary recall of multiple SMA Infant Formula and Follow-On Formula products due to the possible presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by some strains of Bacillus cereus.
There have been no confirmed reports of illness; however in line with Nestle’s strict safety protocols, the affected products should not be used:PRIN-Template-Jan2018 (13)
Increase in Norovirus (D&V) Cases
There has been a recent rise in norovirus cases.
Common symptoms include:
- Vomiting and diarrhoea
- High temperature
- Stomach pain
- Headache
- Muscle aches
Most people recover within 2–3 days with rest and plenty of fluids.

East Riding Young Carers – Key Information for Schools
Young carers are children and young people who help care for a family member at home. The East Riding Young Carers Service has recently moved into the Family Help offer, strengthening joint work with schools and community teams to improve early identification and support.
Schools play a vital role in spotting young carers early. The new Team Around the School meetings and a new assessment form launching in the coming weeks will help staff identify needs sooner and ensure support is put in place quickly with the support of the School and Community Practitioners.
Young carers consistently tell us that understanding from teachers, flexibility when needed, and opportunities to take breaks from caring responsibilities make a real difference to their wellbeing and engagement in education.
For advice or to discuss a potential young carer, schools can contact their School and Community Practitioner or email: Family.Help.Young.Carers@eastriding.gov.uk

Togetherness Parenting Course Feedback from families
Last term, we proudly completed delivery of our first cohort of the Togetherness: Understanding Your Child programme. Groups were delivered in Goole, Anlaby, Bridlington, Driffield and Beverley all held within children’s centres. The groups were facilitated by the first group of 12 ERYC staff to complete the training to be able to offer this programme to the parents & carers within East Riding of Yorkshire. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with excellent feedback and strong attendance maintained throughout all sessions.
On arrival at the first session parents spoke about some f the anxieties they felt about attending a group, how they felt they may be judged as being a bad parent, that nothing will make any difference, that they had tried everything. Within the first few weeks it was clear that parents were relaxing and keen to contribute to the group discussions.
At the end of the 10 week programme parents told us;
They feel calmer and happier, with less shouting at home.
Increased confidence in parenting.
A better understanding of their children’s feelings and needs.
Recognition of the importance of self-care.
That they are not alone with the struggles that parenting can bring
They would recommend the group to other parents.
This feedback highlights the positive impact of the programme on family life and wellbeing. We look forward to continuing this journey and supporting more families in the future.
For any families wanting to book, please complete the attached request for service form and send to early help and prevention at ehpbusinesssupport@eastriding.gov.uk. Details of the courses are on the form.
