Local Offer events in 2026 – connecting with families and young people 🤝
During 2025, the Local Offer team were out and about visiting coffee mornings, drop‑in sessions and community events across the East Riding. These visits helped us gather feedback from families and hear your thoughts about what’s working well and where things could be even better. Alongside this, we captured the views of children and young people using a short set of questions designed to help them share their experiences in a simple and accessible way.
A big thank you to the schools, groups and organisations who have supported this work so far, your openness and willingness to involve us has made a real difference.
Building on this activity, we’re now looking ahead to 2026 and would love to continue this work by attending more activity sessions, youth groups, parent carer support groups and community events where families and young people are already coming together.
If you are involved in organising or supporting events like these or are in the early stages of planning something for 2026, we would really appreciate the opportunity to join you. We’re happy to attend for part of a session, either at the start or at the end or for the duration of the event to chat with families and young people and share information about the East Riding Local Offer.
We'd love to hear from you, please email emma.gray@eastriding.gov.uk

SEND activities for children and young people survey 💬
We want to hear from parents, carers, children and young people with SEND to help shape future activities across the East Riding.
Your feedback helps us understand what activities families currently enjoy and what you’d like to see available in 2026. This will help us work with local organisations to plan activities that are welcoming, inclusive and meaningful for SEND children and young people.
There are two short surveys:
- One for parents and carers
- One for children and young people to share their views in their own words
You can also help by sharing our poster with other SEND families.
