Winter edition of 'Your East Riding' out now
 'Your East Riding' is a quarterly magazine delivered to all households and features news and articles about the services the council provides.
This edition includes updates on weekly brown bin collections, Goole Town Deal, Sheltered Housing projects and Help for Households.
New learning facility opens at Woldgate School
 Delivered through the Department for Education’s (DfE) School Re-Building Programme the new learning facility includes a newly constructed multi-use games area and an upcoming sports hall.
The school is part of the Wonder Learning Partnership who together with the DfE and Wates, the lead construction company, have worked closely over the last five years to bring the project to fruition.
Watch out for bogus taxi drivers

During the festive period, stay safe from bogus taxis by only using legally licensed cabs. You can stay safe by looking out for a white oval door sticker on Hackney Carriage cabs and yellow oval door stickers on pre booked private hire taxis.
Hackney Carriage cabs can be hailed in the street or on a taxi rank. Private hire vehicles must be booked in advance.
Memorial services at Lelley Fields Crematorium

The team at Lelley Fields Crematorium are inviting you to remember your loved ones at this special time of year. There will be two memorial services on Saturday, 13 December and Thursday, 18 December, both starting at 6pm.
The events are free and open to anyone. They are a chance for you to remember and pay your respects to the people who mattered most to you.
East Riding of Yorkshire Band announced as brass band in residence
 The partnership, with East Riding Music Service, will launch a programme of youth and junior brass bands for all ages and abilities.
Having a brass band in residence means children who are new to playing in a brass band will be able to perform alongside an established band, as well as gain additional support with their music.
'DadFest' crowned Best Small Event by The National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA)

DadFest is a festival that aims to get dads and their children out and about in nature, hosted in various locations across the UK.
Earlier this year the event was held at our South Cliff Holiday Park in Bridlington and was a great success.
Yorkshire coast animation wins regional award
 The ‘secret of the shoal’ animation has been awarded a Royal Television Society Yorkshire Award 2025, in the category of Animation, VFX, and CGI.
The video was commissioned by the Yorkshire Marine Nature Partnership (YMNP), which is supported by the council, and illustrates how the small fish play a crucial role in the marine ecosystem.
