Festive recycling guide
The festive season creates more waste than any other time of year. Last December, our waste and recycling team collected more than 9,000 tonnes of waste.
Please remember to recycle cards, wrapping paper, and food waste correctly, and never put batteries in your bins. Keep an eye out for any bin collection changes by downloading our app.
Binny, our recycling elf has ‘bin’ very busy getting up to mischief and learning the recycling ropes. Look out for his weekly posts on our Facebook and Instagram channels where he will share some helpful tips!

Stay safe by asking friends and neighbours for recommendations and look for well-known local businesses.
