Road and footpath improvements coming to Withernsea and Bridlington
 £200,000 is being invested in Withernsea to upgrade the paths along the A1033 Queen Street, between Station Road and the mini roundabout at the Tesco store.
In Bridlington, £70,000 is being invested to upgrade the road and path along Grange Road in the town. Both projects are due to start on Monday, 1 December.
East Riding Speaks Up - a free event to raise awareness about White Ribbon
 East Riding Speaks Up is a free event taking place on Wednesday, 10 December at Bridlington Spa from 10am to 3pm. The event aims to raise awareness about White Ribbon and ending men's violence against women and girls.

Beaches achieve improved bathing water results
 Five out of nine beaches in the East Riding have been classified as ‘Excellent’ in bathing water quality results published this week (Tuesday, 24 November). Sampling taken throughout the summer of 2025 returned improvements in water quality at Bridlington South, which has seen its water quality classification rise from ‘Poor’ to ‘Sufficient’.

You can drop off costumes and jumpers until Saturday, 29 November. From Monday, 1 December you can browse and pick up a jumper or costume from participating East Riding Libraries.
