£490,000 road improvement scheme for Little Kelk, near Driffield
 Improvement work is due to begin on Main Street, Little Kelk,between Gransmoor Lane and Moor Lane, starting on Monday 13 October. This new project is scheduled to take nine weeks to complete with work taking place during the daytime. It will include the resurfacing of the road, strengthening the road edges, patching, improving surface water drainage and kerb replacements.
The Run aims to inspire people to foster
A new video aiming to inspire people to foster has launched, titled ‘The Run’. The film focuses on Tom, an 11-year-old boy, contrasting his need to run - away from danger, a chaotic home life, to get to school in time for breakfast club because he’s hungry - with running as a sport.

Early intervention and support is key to new Families First Partnership Programme
 Partners from across the East Riding have worked together to look at how the new national Families First Partnership Programme can best be delivered in the East Riding. Representatives from children's services, health, education, police, probation, the community and voluntary sector and public health are all working together to help families earlier, before problems grow.
