£190,000 road improvement scheme for Broomfleet near Brough
 Improvement work is due to begin on Common Lane and Common Road, between Wallingfen Lane and Jarratt Hill Lane on Monday, 6 October. The works will take around three weeks to complete, with work carried out during the daytime. The scheme will include resurfacing, patching in areas, and some structural work to strengthen parts of the road in order to improve its durability and safety.
Skirlaugh Primary School transforms learning environment with £25,000 funding for inclusive education
The school has 130 pupils, with 27 percent of children having Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The school successfully applied for £25,000 funding last year and alterations were made to the school over the summer break. The children now have a new sensory room, expanded outdoor learning and an additional specialist early years space.

 The A1079 will be closed in both directions overnight between Killingwoldgraves roundabout and Ken Smith Way roundabout for surfacing works, between 8pm and 5am on each of the following nights:

Volunteer drivers wanted for new community transport in Bridlington
 Volunteers with some time to spare are being asked to help by driving their own cars and giving lifts to people in need, so they can reach hospital appointments which they would not otherwise be able to attend. Bridlington Local Community Lift aims to help local residents without their own transport get to vital medical appointments they might otherwise struggle to attend.
Work to begin on £700,000 refurbishment of Hessle shopping street
 Work is due to begin on the busy shopping area in Prestongate, Hessle on Monday, 6 October. The project, which has been funded by the Hull and East Yorkshire Devolution deal, will involve transforming the current patchwork of block paving, flagstones and concrete surfacing with new, attractive stone paving. New street furniture and planters will also be installed to benefit the area.
