Have your say on the future of Hessle Square
A public engagement campaign has been launched to encourage residents, businesses and visitors to help shape the future of Hessle Square. A four week public engagement will run until Friday 17 October, and can be completed online or through paper surveys available at Hessle Town Council offices.
Improvement work for Beverley road as part of £310,000 scheme
 Improvement work is due to begin on Minster Way in Beverley as part of an East Riding-wide scheme. On Minster Way, resurfacing work is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 30 September and Wednesday, 1 October, between 7pm and 5am. During the works, Minster Way will be closed to traffic overnight in either direction.
Unsung heroes of the classroom: celebrating National Teaching Assistant Day
 We are celebrating the work of teaching assistants on National Teaching Assistant Day today, Friday, 26 September. Teaching assistants (TAs) support children in classrooms across all East Riding schools, helping them to thrive.

 Beverley Art Gallery, located in Champney Treasure House, will the launch its 24th annual Open Art Exhibition from 9am on Saturday 27 September until Thursday, 18 December. The event showcases the creative talent from artists within the East Riding and beyond. A record-breaking 300+ artists submitted their works to the gallery in the hope of being selected for the exhibition.
