Water4All 2025 Joint Transnational Call

33 Funding Agencies from 30 countries all over Europe and abroad are pleased to announce a Joint Transnational Call (JTC) for research and innovation projects on “Water and Health”.

Research and innovation proposals submitted under the Water4All 2025 Joint Transnational Call are required to address at least one of the following topics:
Topic 1: Waterborne contaminants and health risks: occurrence, behaviour, interactions and vulnerability. Topic 2: Innovative tools and technologies for water quality and exposure monitoring. Topic 3: Water treatment and exposure mitigation. Topic 4: Governance, socio-economic innovation, and policy integration for water and health.
Submission deadline of preproposals: 13 November 2025

Green Community Grants Programme
The Wildlife Trusts' Green Community Grants Programme offers one-year flexible funding for not-for-profit groups in England, Scotland and Wales with an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million.
Grants of up to £25,000 are available.
To be eligible for funding, you must have been operating for a minimum of 12 months, and your organisation's main aims and objectives must fit with one of the two funding themes:
- Contributing to nature recovery and responding to the climate emergency
- Improving nature-rich spaces and access to them
The deadline for applications is 8th October 2025.
Grassroots Grant Programme
Groundwork's Grassroots Grants provides unrestricted funding of up to £2,000 for small, local organisations in England who are making a positive difference in their communities.
Funding can be used for core organisational costs that support the important work organisations deliver in their communities. The funding offered is unrestricted and therefore flexible. It can be used where it is most needed.
Unrestricted grants of between £500 and £2,000 can be accessed by organisations whose income is under £25,000 in the last financial year.
Priority will be shown to organisations which meet the following criteria:
- Funding for communities that rank as being within the top 15% on the English Indices of Deprivation
- Organisations that work with and support communities classed as marginalised or vulnerable
Deadline: Applications close at 12:00pm on Tuesday 14th October 2025.
Linnean Society Our Local Nature Grant Programme
The Linnean's Society's Our Local Nature Grant scheme is designed to provide young people with an opportunity to take the lead on projects that involve their local nature and natural spaces, to aid young people in realising their influence to affect positive change, to have their voices heard, and see their ideas come to life.
It funds innovative projects that are designed and led by young people in the UK.
Adult applicants should develop their proposal alongside young people and the projects should seek to empower local young people to enact changes they want to see, such as increasing access to natural spaces and improving understanding of their local biodiversity.
The maximum award is £1,000 per proposal. Applications for significantly lower amounts are encouraged. The Society is happy to co-fund any project with other organisations.
Some examples of possible proposals could be: running a school festival about nature; painting community murals showcasing biodiversity in the area; building a community garden; creating a nature walk; hiring a speaker to come and talk about local foraging.
Deadline: Applications close Midnight 25th October 2025
