British Open Darts to celebrate its Golden Jubilee at Bridlington Spa
 The British Open celebrates its Golden Jubilee at the Bridlington Spa, which has been the home of the championships for the last 21 years.
The Championships runs from Friday, 19 September to Monday, 22 September and attracts around 1,000 competitors from the UK and Europe. The tournament includes categories for men, ladies and youth boys and girls.
Residents warned of bogus Winter Fuel Payment texts
 East Riding of Yorkshire Council Trading Standards Services is advising residents to beware of a Winter Fuel Payment scam, where fraudsters target vulnerable pensioners with details of a bogus and unnecessary application process.
Pensioners are targeted by a text message inviting them to make an application to claim the Winter Fuel Payment. The text contains a link to a fake website with an application form that requests personal information, including bank details.
Festival of Hope: Together we walk, talk, remember, and hope

Partners in East Riding and Hull are coming together for a Festival of Hope, in aid of suicide prevention awareness.
The festival begins on World Suicide Prevention Day, Wednesday 10 September, and runs until Monday 15 September - when the Baton of Hope visits the East Riding as part of its second ever tour across the UK, spreading the message of suicide prevention.

£460,000 footpath and cycleway scheme near Beverley
 East Riding of Yorkshire Council is to invest £460,000 on a project to widen a narrow, existing path running next to the road from the Killingwoldgraves roundabout to Beverley Westwood and improve it for cyclists.
Work started on 1 September and is expected to be complete by November.

 Sewerby Hall and Gardens are running the Iconic Bricks Pirates exhibition until Sunday 21 September.
Iconic Bricks Pirates is an exciting and engaging tour of 12 life-sized models featuring Captain Blackbrick with some of his shipmates. Visitors will get an insight into how the models are made and will be able to get up close with lots of photo opportunities.
