New and improved bus services launched for passengers
 East Riding of Yorkshire Council has funded a new bus service and evening runs on two existing routes, which started on Monday 21 July, to make it easier for people to reach hospital appointments and access local towns and villages.
Service 141 is a brand new bus linking Bridlington, Driffield and Beverley with Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham. Running alongside the existing Service 41, it means there will be a bus every 30 minutes during the daytime travelling between Bridlington and Beverley.
Short delay to start of £300,000 scheme to improve road in Brough
 The start of a project aimed at improving a road in Brough is to be slightly delayed in order to include a larger stretch of the road. The scheme will now begin on Sunday 10 August, three weeks later than planned, as further essential repairs have been identified.
As well as the original plan of carrying out patching works along Welton Road, from Moor Road to Cave Road, the council will also resurface the crossroads at Welton Road/Skillings Lane/Elloughton Road.
£9.5m funding announced for new flood alleviation scheme in South Cave
 East Riding of Yorkshire Council has announced a new flood alleviation scheme in South Cave after securing funding from the Government to construct a new flood storage area upstream of the village, designed to help reduce the risk of flooding during heavy rainfall. Work on the project could begin in 2028, subject to the council securing planning permission and obtaining the necessary permissions and consents.
