Let's Go Electric event coming this June

Residents and businesses in the East Riding and Hull can find out more about electric vehicles (EV) and sustainable transport next month as the region hosts its first EV experience event. The ‘Let’s Go Electric!’ will take place on Saturday 21 June, from 10am-3pm at the Priory Park & Ride site, just off the A63, Clive Sullivan Way, between Hull and Hessle.

Final few days to help shape the Adult Safeguarding Strategy

East Riding Safeguarding Adults Board (ERSAB) are seeking members of the public to take part in shaping the Adult Safeguarding Strategy. Over the next few months, the team will be working to put a new three-year safeguarding strategy in place which covers the whole of the East Riding of Yorkshire. This consultation has been extended to Sunday, 1 June.

Ban on disposable vapes: what residents need to know

Disposable vapes become illegal to sell or supply from Sunday 1 June. Residents that vape to help to quit smoking are encouraged to switch to a reusable device. Smokers will still have a full range of effective and affordable options to help them quit tobacco. Switching to a refillable device could also help people save money.

Call for young people to design Youth Council logo

Young people are invited to design a new logo for the East Riding Youth Council. The forum, run by Community VISION in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, brings together youth voice groups to discuss their involvement in various youth work areas. It offers opportunities for young people to engage in local decision-making, represent their peers, and work on meaningful projects.

The museum needs memories, photos and items relating to the lost shops of Goole for the new project 'Retail Remembered.' The materials donated will be used in a community exhibition due to launch this summer.

The Northern Soul Weekender returns to Bridlington Spa from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 June. The event will feature six different rooms offering the best soul sounds from the early 1960s right through to the latest releases. Tickets are priced at £35 per person for the full three day event.
