Moorsbus returns to help passengers discover the North York Moors
 The Moorsbus (M1) is back until Sunday, 28 September. The bus runs every Sunday and Bank Holiday from Bay 23 in Hull Paragon Interchange at 9am and stops at Cottingham, Beverley, Driffield, Malton before arriving in Pickering. Single and return fares may vary, however, an adult Moors Rover ticket costs £10 and a child Moors Rover ticket costs £3. All English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) are also accepted.
Youth Justice Service brightens up Hull Animal Welfare Trust
 As part of a restorative initiative, several young people designed and painted vibrant artwork to brighten up the dog run at the Hull Animal Welfare site in South Cave. The designs bring colour and positivity to the space for staff, visitors and the animals. The project was supported by the Youth Justice team and funded through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme over the Easter holidays.
£6.5 million to be invested in energy efficient measures for low-income households
 700 low-income households in the East Riding will be provided with energy efficiency upgrades. Partnering with one of the 'big six' energy suppliers, the council are delivering the work which is expected to start in June this and be completed by December 2027.

Animals! theatre coming to East Riding Libraries in May half-term

A fun, family-theatre show celebrating animals and nature is coming to the East Riding this May half-term. The performances feature live singing, jokes and slapstick humour. The theatre shows will be held at various libraries and village halls between 28-29 May. Booking is essential.

Sure Start Maternity Grant
 You usually qualify for the grant if both of the following apply:
- you’re expecting your first child, or you’re expecting a multiple birth (such as twins) and have children already
- you or your partner already get certain benefits
You must claim the grant within 11 weeks of the baby’s due date or within six months after the baby’s birth.
