Make sure your business is welcome for everyone!

You may have recently received a newsletter from VHEY with forms to update your businesses access information to ensure details of your business are up to date and accurate for potential visitors. The updates to facilities are a result of work completed by VisitEngland and other accessibility experts to encourage all businesses to update their facilities information.

Complete the form by Friday 11^th July and your listing will be updated automatically. The forms are QUICK and EASY to complete, only taking a few minutes of your time.

Important information

• The url link to your business listing on the Visit East Yorkshire website must be included on the form. If you’re not sure where to find this, please email info@visiteastyorkshire.co.uk.
• The new access facilities will replace existing access facility information on your business listing. When the new facility tab is installed any existing access information will be removed.
• If you have multiple listings on the Visit East Yorkshire website a form will need to be completed for each business or business type for example a hotel with a restaurant will need to complete the Serviced Accommodation and Food & Drink form.

If your business didn’t get the chance to take advantage of the VisitBritain discount for creating an AccessAble Venue Access Guide, don’t worry – there’s still an opportunity to get on board.

Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY) is now offering 20% discounts to help local businesses improve accessibility and welcome even more visitors through their doors.

AccessAble guides provide detailed, trusted information about your venue’s accessibility – helping customers with access needs feel confident planning their visit. It’s not just good practice; it’s good for business.

Discounts are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Maximise your product page!

As a Visit Hull & East Yorkshire partner your business has a free listing on the Visit East Yorkshire or the Visit Hull website. These websites are used across promotional campaigns to highlight the region as a must-visit destination and are great asset to promote your business to potential visitors. You can make the most of your product page using the extranet to maximise the detail in the description, ensure all details are up to date and add quality images.

Refresh your images from the VHEY library

Whether you’re looking to update images on your website or printed materials you can find a handy selection of images to download and use from the VHEY digital asset library. The library contains new images from the last year of the city, coast and Yorkshire Wolds countryside as well as some of the region’s top attractions and event highlights.

Partner Collaboration in Action: Supporting TransPennine Express and Influencer Engagement in Hull

We were pleased to support TransPennine Express (TPE) in bringing a key influencer to Hull as part of their wider campaign to raise the profile of destinations across their network. Our team worked closely with TPE to to ensure the influencer experienced the very best of what Hull has to offer. The visit was a great opportunity to showcase the city’s unique appeal to new audiences. This collaboration reflects the strength of our regional partnerships and our shared ambition to drive footfall, attract investment, and boost visibility across East Yorkshire and beyond.

From 8th- 11th July the Visit Hull and East Yorkshire team will be exhibiting at the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate, alongside the Yorkshire Tourism Initiative. We are seeking your generous support by donating prizes for our instant win and grand prize draws. Your business listed For Free on England’s Coast!

With warmer weather and travellers actively planning their escapes, now is the perfect time to make sure your business is listed FOR FREE on England’s Coast, the online browse-and-book platform where viewers book direct with you.

They have more than 2,300 business listed, so if you operate a hotel, B&B, campsite, pub, restaurant, watersports attraction, transportation or any other visitor-facing business near the coast – list it for free here

They work in partnership with your local destination to boost UK and international visitors.  They offer free competitions in our consumer newsletters, promote England’s Coast on social media, at travel events, to the media and much more.
