Hull and East Yorkshire Mayoral Comibined Authority Election
There is a Mayoral Election for Hull and East Yorkshire taking place on Thursday, 1 May.
Here are some deadlines you need to know:
Register to vote by 11:59pm on Friday, 11 April
Apply for a postal vote by 5pm on Monday, 14 April
Apply for a proxy vote by 5pm on Wednesday, 23 April
Apply for free voter ID by 5pm on Wednesday, 23 April
To vote in the Mayoral Election, you must be eligible and be on the electoral register.
There is no need to register again if you are already on the electoral register.

New Local Plan and Design Code for East Yorkshire adopted
Following a Full Council Meeting, the council has adopted the Local Plan Update 2020-2039. It guides development in the East Riding and serves as a basis for planning applications. It was adopted after public consultations and approval by an independent planning inspector.

Pocklington Children's Centre sessions to re-locate
Starting Sunday, 1 June, Pocklington Children’s Centre sessions will relocate due to the demolition of the building for Woldgate School's new build. Families can access the centre's provision at alternative sites, offering family support drop-ins, parenting support, and play sessions for children under five.
Bridlington residents urged to report anti social behaviour
Residents in Bridlington are being encouraged to report off-road motorbikes as part of a campaign to reduce antisocial behavour (ASB) in the region. Off-road motorbikes may only be ridden on private land with permission, and illegal use can damage property and disrupt freshly ploughed land.
Spring into Fitness with East Riding Leisure
There is still time to sign up to East Riding Leisure this April to get six months for the price of five or 15 months for the price of 12. Sign up before Wednesday, 30 April to save up to £105 on a membership. Memberships start from £72.50.

Child benefit increase
Child benefit rates increased on Monday, 7 April. If you are already claiming this, you will automatically receive increased payments.
