Are you interested in playing table tennis?

Tony Fuller is the Chair and founder of Bishop Wilton Table Tennis Club which has been running for just over two years. Tony is also a qualified licensed Table Tennis England Lead Coach. Tony is looking at bringing wheelchair friendly table tennis into the club and would like see whether there would be sufficient interest. Please see the weblink below for further information:-

SEND and Inclusion Strategy - Virtual Events

Our virtual sessions aim to facilitate opportunities for parents, carers, and professionals to participate in sessions outside of traditional office hours to ensure the widest possible contribution to the development of our SEND and Inclusion Strategy.

Virtual Sessions

1. Transitions – Monday, 24 February, 7-8pm.

2. Culture and Communication – Wednesday, 26 February, 7-8pm.

3. Governance – Monday, 3 March, 7-8pm.

4. Partnerships – Thursday, 6 March, 7-8pm.

5. Timely Support – Monday, 10 March, 7-8pm.

6. Learning, Development, and Impact – Wednesday, 12 March, 7-8pm.

These sessions will aim to summarise the findings so far, review and further embellish on the work produced, gather additional views and answer questions from attendees.

Please feel free to drop in and out of the session at your convenience to tell us what you think.

These sessions will all take place via Microsoft Teams meetings. If you are interested in attending, please contact emma.gray@eastriding.gov.uk to receive an invite.

KIDS – Bridlington wellbeing group

For young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) aged 14-25.

KIDS aim to empower disabled children and young people. Help them develop their confidence while also supporting their wellbeing. Young people find the sessions a safe space where they can come and be themselves with no fear of judgement.

Dates: Every Monday (term time only)

Time: 6 – 8pm

Venue: Bridlington Community Hub, 2a Marshall Avenue, YO15 2DS.

Calling all adventurers aged 11-18 with a vision impairment!

On the 22nd of March 2025, we will go on a jam-packed adventure day at Mount Cook Adventure Centre in Derbyshire, where we will take part in exciting activities like rock climbing, scrambling, and high ropes.

Provisional timings for the trip are as follows: the trip will start at 9.30am and will finish at 5pm. You will be expected to arrive a little earlier than this. Lunch will be included.

You will need to make your own way to Mount Cook Adventure Centre. If you have transport difficulties, please send an email to Fran.Barrett@rsbc.org.uk and we will try to find a solution which works for you.

EYPCF – Check-in & Chat

COST – FREE, parking is available onsite, refreshments will be provided.

Notes - This session is for all parents and carers of children and young people (0-25) with SEND. Travel and childcare costs can be reimbursed.

Please join us for our regular Check-in & Chat event. Representatives from the local authority will be joining us along with people from health, and social care.

This is also a chance to meet the members of the EYPCF team and a great opportunity to meet likeminded parents and carers who understand what life is like as a SEND family to share experiences and offer peer to peer support.

Please join us at Burnby Hall for our next workshop, which will be covering all aspects of need identification and assessment.

This workshop is being funded by the Joyona Charitable Trust, registered number 1125861 and delivered by Shirley Pethick.

The evening will include:

SEND legal framework & Code of Practice.

Interactive sessions on assessment and identification of need.

Termly support plans and outcomes.

Feel free to bring with you any documentation you have for your child, such as EHCPs and current termly support plans.
