-
- Any parent/carer wishing to apply for either the 9 months+, 2 year funding or the 30 hours Extended Entitlement, must have done so before 31st August to claim this from 2nd September 2024. Any codes applied for after 31st August 2024 will not be eligible to start until the 2025 Spring term. (Please remember to obtain proof of 9 months+, 2 year funding or the 30 Hours Eligibility code before accepting a child onto one of these places)
- Due to an error in the procedure for carrying the children over from the 2024 Summer term to the 2024 Autumn term, you may find that some children are listed on both the 2 year funding and the 3&4 year funding tabs. If this is the case children who turn 2 from 1 September 2024 onwards will need to be deleted from the 3& 4 year funding tabs and your submission for them should be made using the 2 year funding tab as normal.
- Information on how to delete children can be obtained in the full headcount mailout located here

Childminders we need your help.
As part of the government’s “do something big work with small children” campaign we'll be launching a social media recruitment campaign, to encourage more people to become a registered childminder. In light of this, I am looking for your help. I would love you to tell me what the best bit is of being a childminder, so that we can use these phrases in our social media campaign.
You can do this by either by emailing your EYDA or you can e-mail me directly at annette.drury@eastriding.gov.uk
I would love your comments by the 27th of September, thank you in advance for your participation.

Private Fostering awareness week
Private fostering awareness week takes place from Monday, 16 September.
Do you know anybody who may be privately fostering a child, under the age of 16, (or under 18 years if the young person has a disability) for more than 28 days?
If someone isn’t a close relative of the child, such as a grandparent, aunt or uncle, or step-parent by marriage, then it is a legal requirement to inform the council and then support can be offered.
Please let the person know the council is here to help, and if they are planning to, or currently are, looking after a child and this will be for more than 28 days call on 01482 395500, or visit: https://www.eastriding.gov.uk/living/children-and-families/fostering/private-fostering/
