Autumn Term Estimates
Due to the system updates we have had to temporarily close the estimates for the Autumn term. We hope to reopen W/C 10th June, this is to allow you submit 9 month+. If there are any change to this date we will let you know via the FISH mailout as soon as possible.
Early Years Entitlements and Funding Updates
As the Local Authority moves to monthly payments from September, we will providing an update for our providers on the process that settings will follow in the build up to and moving forward from September 2024 in the next two weeks as this will not change too much from the current process.
Reconfirmations for parents receiving Tax-Free Childcare
Parents who already receive Tax-Free Childcare, who reconfirm before 12 May, and whose next reconfirmation window opens on or after 9 June will receive letters from HMRC with temporary codes by 24 May.
The letter also set out that parents with reconfirmation windows opening before 9 June will not receive a letter, as their reconfirmation window will open in good time for them to reconfirm and receive a digital code and give it to their provider.
What if my reconfirmation window opens before the 9 June?
If your reconfirmation window opens before the 9 June you will not receive a letter, as your reconfirmation window will open in good time for you to reconfirm and receive a digital code, and give it to your provider. We’re confident that all eligible parents will be able to get codes by the time they need them, and there is no limit on the number of codes available.
Childcare applications for parents of 9mth olds now open
From the 12th May, eligible parents of children who will be 9 months old by 31st August 2024 are apply for 15 hours of childcare a week. We would advise that parents apply mid-term to avoid having to re-confirm before the September start date.

Childcare Works Hub- Information for Providers
Childcare is changing. Local authorities and childcare providers have the unique opportunity to embrace a huge expansion in childcare provision. To support this, we will listen to what local authorities and providers need and create expert resources, tools and guidance in response. Completed resources will be hosted in the HUB: a one-stop shop for all roll-out resources.
The HUB is a bank of resources available to Local Authorities and childcare providers implementing the childcare expansion programme. Here you will find a comprehensive library of the resources developed to support the roll-out of the early years and wraparound childcare expansion project
